Katie is busy getting ready for a new role debut as CONTRARY MARY with the Pittsburgh Savoyards this December. This show has everything: catchy tunes, hijinks, battles, giant spiders and giant candy canes! Come check out this production running throughout most of December. Also check out the gallery for newly posted photos of Katie as the creepy CRONE, a role she created in last September's world premiere of Matthew Gillespie and Kip Soteres's Thomas the Rhymer! Check the performance calendar for Katie's fall gigs! This fall, it is all about new works, new companies, and new repertoire with old and new friends! In addition, a few delightful photos from last fall's performances of Iolanthe with Pittsburgh Savoyards are now posted on the gallery page. Katie had a blast with the Savoyards and will be looking to join them again in future seasons. Katie continues to delve into Ukrainian music both in performance and in her academic activities. Last winter, she was honored to join members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in another meaningful and musically exquisite Ukrainian benefit concert, pictured below. Katie was particularly pleased to offer Mykola Lysenko's Prayer for Ukraine in both Ukrainian and a new English translation by Pittsburgh writers Tara Hutchinson and Michael Greenstein. Although that performance was not recorded, recordings of Katie's earlier performance of Ukrainian repertoire are still available for digital download for a donation of any size to Ukraine TrustChain. |
