Upcoming spring engagements are posted! Katie hopes to see you at an upcoming event, whether it be at a casual cabaret or the opera. One opera is on Katie's schedule this spring, and it's a rarely-heard one! Stravinsky's Mavra will be Katie's first Stravinsky role and fifth Russian role. She is also serving as diction coach for the production and is proud that the production is supported by the sponsorship of several units at Pitt, including the Nationality Rooms Program, the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, and the Provost's Office's Year of Creativity.

Katie had an unforgettable experience singing for the Armenian Community in Cleveland at a one-night concert commemorating the 150th anniversary of the founder of the Armenian national school of music, Komitas Vartabed. It was a great challenge to sing in the Armenian language for the first time and an honor to share the stage with the other accomplished and talented musicians at the event. The full recording of the concert is available to view online:

Upcoming engagements on Katie's calendar include an eclectic holiday concert in Maryland with Opera Bel Cantanti and a program of Russian music in Pittsburgh in March on Pitt's campus, sponsored by Pitt's Year of Creativity, which will include the Pittsburgh premiere of Stravinsky's one-act opera, Mavra.
